2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Hi Paul,

I agree, the weather has been a pain  . It is pouring down here too. The next time I will be able to meet up will be the end of August. Hopefully off somewhere with a bit of sun next weekend 8) . Personally I am looking forward to the Winter and all those lovely frosty SUNNY mornings with a little mist so I can get some photo's of my Panther in a winter scene  . It's funny isn't it, the one thing we all hate is the rain, unfortunately we get more than our fair share. See you all on the 31st August, WEATHER PERMITTING of course.

Thanks Antony

hi guys
no problem, hope the rain stops for next week

any of you thinking of the armortek open day? if any one fancys it, may be hire a van / mini bus ? :? let me know as i fancy it but 244 miles and 4 hours 45 mins travelling. So who's up for it? Possibly get a mini bus and get seats removed from the back to get the tanks in. As i beleive some of the seats are quick release, does anyone else have any ideas how to get us and the tanks there, whoever is up for it.

Hi,

I've been watching your meetings with interest and would love to come along to one. The weather really has been a pain this summer, even here in London where its supposed to be one of the dryest parts of the UK. Today has been like a wet November day. Still I wish you every success for the future.

I am scheduled to attend the open day and it would be good if some of you could make it - the more the merrier.

hi Guys
Anthony - i've been thinking this for a while, so a few more would be better to cut the costs. As i've said, if we can hire a minibus between us, and remove some seats at the back we can get the tanks in. Have a good holiday and don't forget, feet in the sea, looking at the wife on the beach (topless babes on sunlounger behind her) 8) 8) :P
Come on guys, who else is up for the open day???????

hi Alan
Hows things, as you can see its always raining up there. I think we should do away with the tanks and go with amphibious vehicles!!!!!

Oh yes Richie  .

I would think maybe Clive, Paul Morris, Vinny, Paul Wills & Steve Norris would be interested in going to the open day, I hope so  . It could be a fantastic day out, thanks for thinking of it Richie.

Hi Allan, remember me, we met at Peter Shaw's a couple of times when you had your 1/6th Stuart. That too was a great venue until the neighbours got their way  .It would be great to meet up again either at the open day or up at Leighton Hall. There is loads of places to stay and some superb views and scenery.

Thanks Antony

hi antony

thats good. Need to ask the others and confirm, and then try to find the best transport for us, and the tanks, so if there's anyone interested, we'll need to know and then let Gill know as well.
i think its a long way to go in a day so what about overnight? If anyone has got any ideas please let me know.

Hi fellas.
Just sent a mail to a van hire spot near us to see if you can rent a van with a crew style cab to seat say 5 or 6 people but still have van space for the tanks i will let you know when they get back to me, but...
Richie
I would think you will be able to get a better deal where you are...what do you think more hire places etc just a thought. Last thought on the idea unless we hired something big how many tanks do you think we would get in one vehicle due to weight and we need to come up with some method of securung them to the floor as if we needed to brake quickly the last thing we need is one tank sliding into the other

Hi Paul
I think before we start ringing around getting quotes, we need to know definite numbers, and how many tanks will be coming with us. If there is only three we could get away with a LWB transit van, which is approx £90 for the weekend. This is with Adelphi in Preston. if there is more than three people I think we will be looking for a minibus with the seats removed at the back, as for the weight, i think the minibus will be okay, as its just like a minibus full of overweight people, what do you think? probably a 15 seater I think we will be well underweight. Im not sure who would hire a crew cab transit van. So please, if anyone is interested please make contact for definite numbers so we can get prices.

Hi Richie.
No harm in finding out the potential costs, befor we know numbers as you have proved by knowing its about £90 for a transit! and presumably we already know its more than 3 people as you want to go so does Antony and Vinnie will no doubt come with me and Paul and i talked about it some time ago so thats 4 or 5 hence the crew cab idea.
Paul
Maybe this needs to go on another thread as well befor Tigers storm country estate gets into page 10 or 11 just a thought.

Hi All,

Few there’s a lot gone on wile I have been decorating my kitchen!

Yep the trip to the Armortek open day sounds a great idea and I would love to go, unfortunately I can now only go for the Friday/ Saturday and would have to return Saturday night! If you guys are planning to stop for the Sunday I can go in the car so no problem. I have just read the post and asked the wife if we had anything on that weekend, and my kids have just informed me that they have arranged a do for their Großmutter birthday on the Sunday, and although she is 85, she still wields her walking stick like a kung fu master, so I dare not miss!!

Regards, Paul  .

Hi Paul
I've opened a new link on this, as Paul suggested, and then its not bombarding the 'tiger storms the estate' link.
I'll speak nicely to Gill if she can move the other info on open day on to the new link if everyone agrees?
I'm easy on any days.
Richie
