How to do rust?

Hi Chaps,
I am looking at adding rust to my exhausts.I do have an airbrush although not had chance to use it yet.
I guess I'm looking for the idiots guide to airbrushing rust,what I should buy etc.

I have always used 'burnt sienna' oil paint which instead of brushing, you 'dab' it on with a little bit of 'black' oil paint to get the right colour.After you have done this dab on some talcum powder to give it a 'roughness'. :shock:
