BOB YES FENDERS ARE TO MAKE IT IN TO A AUSF A. GOT MORE BITS TO CAST YET. DO YOU NOT LIKE THEM YES THE ENGINE SOUND CUTS OUT WHEN MG IS FIRED ITS THE CARD. I FOUND IT IS BETTER IN THE FIELD THE GUN CAN BE HEARD AT A LONG DISTANCE . IT IS LOUDER THAN MY SHERMAN MG. THAT IS OVERLAID ON TO THE ENGINE SOUND.

Hi Nick,
No I thought your side fenders were pretty clever additions to make it look like an A! Probably wouldn't be that hard to convert an "G" model to an "A". Its difficult to tell how much conversion details you put into it from the video - but it looked good to me! I'm like dang thats an Ausf A!
The MG sounded great, but it was dissapointing that it cut out the engine idle noise. Any way to work that bug out?
Bob

Hi Nick,
Here are some (old) photos of my 1:8th Panther Ausf A.
If is done as Ernst Barkmanns Black 424 from Normandy.
A lot on him I now would have done in another way but here they are.
As you know Alex S 1:8th Panther was a mixture of Ausf A and G.
Spend a lot of time chancing him until I gave up and begun with the bigger 1:6th scale instead.
I even had a sculptor making a one off 1:8th figure of Barkmann for me.
Not much compared to todays museum quality 1:6th tanks but my Panther has one interesting thing I can tell you about.
I got Ernst Barkmanns adress from a photo collector who had acctually wisit him personaly
As a longshot I posted some photos of my (his) Panther and nothing happend...
3 years later an envelope from Germany arrived here and the man had responded
Not in personal writing but a helper wrote that he was happy with my post to him etc, etc, and gave me a singned photo.
Well how many of us can brag about your tank has been seen by its former WW2 owner?
If I ever sell my Panther the envelope will go with the tank.
I think you can guess what Panther I would have done if the Armortek kit would have been an Ausf A instead
Cheers
Kent
