Stephen,

Thanks for the reply and your kind words. The original photos are invaluable when you are trying to recreate something in miniature, I hope others find them as useful as I have.

I hope to have the 88 finished so I can bring it down in October.

Regards, Paul.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the comments. Don't be put off by what you see on here :) I have no machinery to work with, apart from a pillar drill and that's why you will see a lot of plastic in my parts, because its easier to work with. You can do it, but sometimes it takes a rethink.

A few years ago I wanted a 1/6th engineers ball hammer and couldn't find one anywhere, so I decided to make one myself. All I had was some bits and bats in a box from plastic casings.

for some reason, don't ask me why! I arranged them like this

then I thought, hmmm, add some milliput

A bit of wooden dowel, then paint and Ended up with this!

A master class in the 'simple', lateral thinking at its best.

Thanks for showing us all the 'how' and explaining the why.

Hello,

I couldn't add the photo in the PM so to answer the question on the chain, huck and hose connectors, here are some photos.

The hose connectors, I am not sure which ones you mean. if its the ones in the photos below, I used computer motherboard pegs/spacers. Most computer outlets will have some, they come in brass or metal.

Drill it out to the size you want, then spin it in a drill/dremel and use a file or hacksaw blade to cut a groove to make it look like two nuts together.

if its these connectors,

You will need to speak to Rolf Mönke and see his post here http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewt ... 3&start=30

hope that helps.
