Real spray paint

Post by Steve Norris »

Can anyone tell me if there is a supplier of RAL7028 Dunkelgelb DG 111 spray cans (440ml cans) or any any other size for that matter ?
I know Tamiya do TS3 but this is not the right shade for the scheme I want to do.
Regards
Steve

Hi Steve
I know exactly the place, try www.zib-militaria.de, they do 400ml cans of RAL 7028 and quite a choice of other paints.

Cheers

Bryan.

Hi Steve,

my source for all that WW2 paint is Militaerlacke.de

Here is the link : http://www.militaerlacke.de/lack/sprayd ... /index.php

They have pretty good stuff and fair prices  8)

The RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb which has been used later in the war is called RAL 7028-1944 at their shop ! Its much darker than the earlier version RAL 7028....

Hope that helps,

cheers from Cologne,

Uwe

Uwe and Bryan
Thanks for the quick reply, I will have a look at the available products and give them a try.
Just noticed the title has suffered from a auto correct event and should have read RAL not real, could have been worse I suppose.

Steve

You could try Epic Militaria - £7.95 for a 400ml can (http://www.epicmilitaria.com/army-spray ... ellow.html). Can't say if it will be the right shade though. I bought a couple of cans of olive green from them at a show last weekend and very pleased with the results.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for posting the Epic Militaria web-site on the Army Spray Paint-Drak Yellow (Dunkelgels)
I ordered up a couple of cans to see what it's like on my Panzer III.

Cheers

I have been using zibmilitaria paint. I think they have designed it for full size vehicles so a little darker than tamiya. You can see it on my panzer IV. It's a great base. I have used as a base recently on a Tiger 1 in conjunction with AK interactive pint modulation set recently and it works well. MUST ADD SOME PHOTOS.

I will have to order some soon. Problem is postage is same for small quantity as large. It would be a good idea if we could order a bulk supply before the show. I have used the dark grey on my 222 and beige on Tiger interior. Price is very good. About 8-9 euro.

John
