Does the fan work when the module lights up ?

Can you feel the smoke case warming up after it has been on a while ?

The elements do have a fixed lifespan, so it may just have expired naturally.

If the thing stays cold, then I'm sure Gill will be happy to sell you a new element for it :D

Adrian.

Hi Adrian, today I stripped down the smoker unit to find that the 'matting' was like a piece of crispy bacon, so I ordered a new piece. Also a new element, plus an element tube
and holder. No wonder it was not working!

Hi Adrian, what smoke oil do you use? I have been using baby oil until recently When I tried Seuthe smoke oil which is much thinner than the baby oil. Maybe the Seuthe is burning up to quickly. Your thoughts please.

You might want to try Venu Smoke Fluid. It's intended for stage fog units but is ideal for tank smoke units and is quite inexpensive. It doesn't leave any oily residue but gives a decent volume of smoke. I've used the medium and thick versions.
