Paul, hi. I understand your pain....

FAMO could become Armortek's new strap line: Forget Armour, Makes 'Oftskins..... (sorry). But then Gill and Mark would have to change the name to Truckortek. Next project a Bedford or a Foden?.(I know, they would sell, strangely).

Take care.

Stephen

Oh Paul, that's called picking up the gauntlet. Two trucks, a recce vehicle and a gun, none of them qualifying as armour.

Sorry, I couldn't resist resurrecting the famous Famo debate once you mentioned it. To be serious for a moment, the FAMO would make an impressive model and I think it's very clever of Gill and Mark to offer a broad range of vehicles and the success of the 25 pdr kpens a whole range of possibilities.

I should answer though:

To qualify as armour, at least in British eyes, a vehicle has to be capable of delivering shock action ie closing with the enemy using fire and manoeuvre and using direct fire to defeat him. On that score, all of them lack the protection to close with the enemy and the last one uses indirect fire. Yawn.

Now, where's that Chieftain with full gun stabilisation?

Looking forward to seeing you down Southin October.

Stephen

I only said it was a shame Mark hasn't done a FAMO, or was it Famo, or Famo, Famo, Famo?
