Happy new year and help please !!

Post by andyquirot »

Hi all has anyone come across these 2 problems before.
I must say to all the help received for the drive sprockets THANKS.

On stripping down the tank i found some of the wheels outer lip has broken apart i think its machined to close. To fix I have glues it with JB Weld. Do you have other options.??

The rear deck has two parts i think the lower one have the countersunk screws in it! And the upper one the holes don't line up again photos attached.

Anybody out there willing to pdf, photo copy or email me a set of instructions i am happy to pay.

This is my first armortek tank (turret less one from Ebay) so i am building from loads of parts in boxes with no instructions only looking at other builds on line.

Thank Andy

A Tiger of this vintage should have a deck made from a single sheet of steel. There was a secondary piece which went under the main engine hatch, but it looks like yours goes under the grills as well.

You could open up the holes if the alignment isn't too bad, or get a new piece laser or waterjet cut to hold the grills.

I guess it's been done to lower the rear deck ? The sides of the engine grills should be level with the hull sides.

As to the wheels, I can't see JB Weld holding those rims on, so it might be worth seeing if Gill still has any stock of the old wheels ? The single wheel with the long hub is part number CE0206, the one with the short hub is CE0207. I'm guessing the double wheels are OK ?
