Re: King Tiger 2009
Inbetween I reworked the difference in height between the side hull and the deck plates
This is what it looks like
And this is my simple solution to resolve
I'm satisfied with the result.

Re: King Tiger 2009
We took on the rear of the King Tiger
First I altered the way the rear mudguard were attached to the rear. Made a 3rd hole and separated the hinge, also placed hex bolds
Next I modified the wooden block with the correct attaching bar and bolts
home made wingnut
putted everything together
The wooden block also had to undergo some changes
dry fit
the 4 supports
fitted in the right place
The final result:

Re: King Tiger 2009
thanks for the picture! I discovered that after installing the round plate the jack no longer fits properly. So I will have to rework those hinges.
Have reworked the round plate, 1 mudguard and busy on the second one

Re: King Tiger 2009
decided on reworking the hinges for the jack
painted the jack
started on the exhaustpipes
reshaped them more realistic, fitted an extra ring with bolds and made the ring where the pipe in fits a lot thinner
original
reworked
right reshaped, left original
made the exhaust a lot thinner and place a bar in the middle
sanded the casted exhaust covers
putted some extra detail on it
drilled out the holes to M4, there more realistic in size
M4
M3
made the cranck starter device
made also a couple of conical bolts

Re: King Tiger 2009
hi all and may I wish you a happy 2015!!!
Latest update on my Hannelore
I finished the armored exhaustcovers with "Hebepilze". I made them out of a nail and finished the head with plastic so I could make them round
addes the towing hooks, altered these just a little bit. I used a 3mm brass tube on the outside instead of the delivered ones
the final result of the rear
Started now on the toolracks
first I made the shovelholder from scratch
For the moment I'm making totaly new holders for the cleaningrods, pictures will follow

Re: King Tiger 2009
I didn't had the time I would have liked to build on my KT, so the advancing has been slowing down.
Nevertheless I managed in making a few adaptations
The racks for the cleaning rod, repositioned it a little bit
I also reworked the holders for the towingcables
left the reworked
Must still order some tool clamps, so I can finish the sides and tools.

Re: King Tiger 2009
Just received news that the motion, sound and smoke units are underway to Belgium. Together with some other orders that I expect, Hannelore will soon be "Einsatzbereit". Our BTB tank club will have then a 6th working Armortek, while still a few are underway of becoming battle ready...
I think that we are a true ambassador for Armortek

Re: King Tiger 2009
A little bit further...
I adapted another clamp for the towing rope
Also made my own wooden handle for the schovel and the axe
Found the material in the garden
For the axe I had to drill out the axe and made myself a wedge
end result with the varnished handle
Expecting also any moment my packs...
