Hi Everyone,
Today a friend showed me a Model Engineer magazine from 1951, on the front cover was a photo of a scratch built 25 pounder field gun. He is going to scan and email me the details and I will post it here. I think it is 1/10th scale. Also while searching for this article I came across the following references to other Model Engineer volumes concerning how to build a 25 pounder.
1951 Vol 105 no., 2628 cover picture (Model 25 Pounder modern field gun)
1995 Vol 175 nos., 4000, 4002, 4004. David Wilcox (Artillery Modelling) Modelling a 25 Pounder Gun.
1999 Vol 182 no., 4085, Cover picture. Model 25 Pounder modern field gun.
I wonder if any of you have come across these articles and if you have any more details, I would be interested and I am sure others would too.

Re: 1951 Model Engineer front cover, 25 pounder
As promised here are a couple of scans of the 1951 model of the 25 pounder gun made by serving soldiers. They are low definition, but can be read with care.
