choose above "User Control Panel" -> register card "Profile" -> on the left side "Edit Avatar"

You have to save the avatar on your favorite picture-server then you
have to save the adress (url) to the pic in the white box.

whatever site you use to host your pictures ie I use picture trail and so on their you get your url for that picture copy and paste it into your avatar settings

I don't have a hosting site for my pics. how do I do it from my PC.
There is no facility to upload from machine as on other forums im on.

I don't think you can without one.
you could try doing a search for a picture you like and copy the url from it. right click on the picture go to properties and then copy that url link to it and paste it in that should work as long as it allows you to do that. also you might have to reduce the size of it.
