Hi Phil,
I see a touch of the Chelsea Flower Show arrangement in your last pic!
Must be the fastest 'growing' build of a Sdkfz 7 Half Track on the Forum so far!
You should get 'gold' for this speedy assembly…….!
But I'm enjoying this new kit your building, good to follow the daily progress…..
Keep the pics coming.

Hi Phil
What size cable are you using for the winch tow
and how are you fitting the guides to stop it falling off
the drum.?

Re: Sd.Kfz.7/1 and 20mm Flakvierling 38
Hi John
I am still waiting for a slot in my son's calendar to help me turn the Hydraulic lift
towards the patio door.
Its like a ship built the wrong way on the slip ramp, too heavy on my own without risk
The SdK has turned out into a different build,I wasn't confident that my Flekvierling38
would fit on the chassis when I saw it,and I like to put the title of what I am building
in the postings.
Now after studying my books there is no problem, but then again it is only to night after
partaking of the Stella Artoi and Lime, for a change from the Magners cider that I have
decided on the theatre of war and camo for my Sdk

Re: Sd.Kfz.7/1 and 20mm Flakvierling 38
Hi Derek
I am new to this Kit and I thought that the cable was included with the options packs,
because it never came with the basic Kit.
If not its no problem,I have a supplier that does them to order.
But answering your question if there isn't a cable with the options,I will have to get
the string, nylon strimmer line or what ever to see what the drum will take and choose
the most flexible size that works good as apposed to accurate scale.
I think the option packs are available soon so I will let you know what I choose.
I am not sure if the towing hook is supplied either,so I might have to search or make
one of them.
Cheers

Re: Sd.Kfz.7/1 and 20mm Flakvierling 38
Sorted my Ball and socket out.
I drilled the concave bit out deeper and filed the ball to suit anmd packed with
grease, and adjusted the screw to suit,so it closed up nice.

Hi Stephen
Thanks for that
Its a bit embarrassing doing what I have done,I still have over 50 photographs plus
whats in my camera
I hope they will be a help or inspiration for some one, because I have already had lots
of the same from the experienced guys.
Glad you like it so far.
Cheers
Phil
