Hi Pete,

The worrying thing is I remember this technology if you could call it that. I started working life as radio and tv engineer in 1959 when valves were all you had. I then migrated to life as a computer engineer in 1966 so I have seen all the changes right the way through to 2008 when I retired. Just picked up radio control equipment on the weekend so now can start the serious stuff on the tank.

The tank has now been returned to the Tank Museum at Bovington. We have got all the functions working under radio control. The video below is a fair indication of it's working functions, I meant to rotate the turret but forgot. It is not an easy tank to drive and the winch functions to operate the bridge are a bit tricky to say the least. It hopefully will be on show at Tankfest in June. It has been an interesting project and all I have to do now is draw a diagram of all the electrics and r/c equipment before I forget how it is all connected up, I will publish it when completed for those who are interested in looking at diagrams. I also have been asked to write a description of the history and my part in the restoration.
I note that the post has had over 1600 veiwings and I would like to thank those people and also the contributors to the project, particularly Armortek for providing a lot of the electrical and r/c equipment and this posting on their Website.
