In the assembly instructions on page 30 is only the bullet ring listened. The fasteners provided are not listened. You can see the correct screws in the Armortek Gallery under late Tiger, second page, first picture.
I don't know the correct name of the screws in English, sorry!
I believe the real ring was welded in place or maybe held by flush fitting bolts, once you have fitted the ring fill in the screw holes and it will look correct.
The turret ring guard consisted of three identical and interchangeable segments. They had seven bolt holes in each but only five holes in each were used. The holes used differed between the position of the segment so there will be two empty holes in each. Check out the Tiger 1 info site.
Looks like the bolted in place is the correct way, the likely reason bolts do not show up on the rings is they used sharply counter sunk bolts which ended up flush with the surface and when painted would only be seen in a very close photo. The reason my ring set is in six sections is I was not able to cast three sections as they were to long for the mold.
