Smoke system question

Post by John Grima »

Hello Everyone. While working on the smoke system I had a question on what type of fluid to use. On my builds I use this fluid which is designed for model boats and trains,

The Fluid is paraffin based, and I was curious if this fluid will be compatible with the armortek smoke system.

Thanks in advance

Hello John,

I use baby oil ( Galenco ),
its a white plastic bottle with a green cap.
I buy this in a pharmacy, and it smokes very good.
best regards Yves

Thanks guys, Also I'm also checking to see if the matting is mounted right. I read the instructions but was just checking to see if I had the mat in the right spot before I progress.

The matting should be in a kind of Omega shape:

_( )_

With the two flat parts in the bottom of the smoke box and the element up the O part of it. This means the element is completely surrounded at all times, so you shouldn't get any hot spots, which could shorten the elements life.
