Hi, its time to stop lurking and introduce myself.

I have read and reread this site several times in awe of the great work that is done to these awesome models. I want to do a tank myself but due to finance, family and time constraints that is not going to happen for a while. So in the mean time I will practice my hand skills on the 25 pounder.

My kit arrived yesterday and I cant stop looking at the amount of work that has already gone into it. This wont be a quick build as I want to do it justice with lots of research from all avenues including the great build threads here, and one or two of Dave's extras.

Any and all input will be gratefully appreciated including negative comments as this is a steep learning curve for me.

I found myself in the same boat Bob, I got mine about 3/4 weeks ago. You'll find the lads on here very friendly and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask questions (I do) and they are great. Also I study and restudy the posts on here and after a while it sinks in.lol. Dave Dibbs is doing fantastic stuff with his build, so I follow him closely as well as Leon Benjamins, another fine modeller. Happy modelling.

Well well well i'm just a beginner!
I'm building/modifieing models since 2 years now and i'm still in the learning fase. (the only thing in 1/6 was a stuart tank and a ww2 volkswagen beetle, did tons in smaller scales)
I'm trying to get stuff from other suppliers like Dave and not make it myself because I suck at it.

Tip for the beginning modeller: get things cheap. You will screw up. Doesn't matter, everybody does.
That's why I try somethings new on this model instead of previous models I did so far. Most of the original 25 pounder or Dave's work I wont place because I cant make them myself or I want to get the original Armortek touch to it.

After I did the full inventory I found that there were a couple of minor pieces missing. So a quick email was fired off to Gill and within a few days a lovely packet arrived with the missing items. So its a big thumbs up from me to Mark and Gill's customer service, I will most definitely ordering more things in the future.

Anyway nothing to report as far as progress at the moment as I am still researching.

This time I am asking for help from anyone with a better memory than mine or someone that has what I am looking for.

A couple of days ago I was reading someone's build diary, and now can't find it for the life of me, and in it there was a picture of a hobby size? sheet metal bender/ cutter for scratch building things from sheet copper. Can someone please point me in the right direction of where to get one of these and or recommendations for the same including links to the item?

Many thanks in advance. So much for an out of the box build, SWMBO is going to kill me.
