Over the last days I've been over the wheels and base again.
I've had the idea to modify a bit my old wood lathe and to use it to work on the tires.
What a mess to grind the rubber tires
After the last wheel I've been black all over and messed up the whole workshop
But it's worth, a Flak with tires like fresh from the dealer ??? Nothing for me...
On the outer rims I made the proper fixings and the "protection-plates" for the valves.
The inner rims have been modified a bit with the flat sinks and also the appr fixings.
Waiting for the final paint I will assemble the wheels completely after the paintjob.
On the Indicator ring of the base I've mnade the missing smaller markings. Found a 0,6mm milling cutter so thought to try how it looks like

So congratulations, once started I had to finish the remaining 288 markings
Two evenings just milling on my small all manual Proxxon...
At the end it has been worth I think, looks now as an indicator at least
BTW, the hint on the forum to use WD40 for Alu has been great, works perfectly !
cheers for now,
Uwe
