Hello everyone, because of the long load time of my other build post ( http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewt ... =10&t=4496 )I decided to post the remainder of the project in this new post to hopefully cut down on the load times. The project should be wrapped up in two or three more posts!
The tank's paint pattern was applied.
I'm currently stenciling on the markings. Once the markings are completed the tank will get weathered...then it will be off for finishing!
More pics of the paint pattern are posted on the facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/EastCoastArmory
More to come!

Dito, the natural light and shadows look great on your Panther. I am looking forward to the weathered finish.
Well Done.

Re: 2006 Panther build completion
More progress was made to the model and the tank is now 95% complete.
After the last post the client fell in love with a panther illustration with a different paint pattern. The tank was repainted to match the one in his illustration.
After the new pattern was applied I added the tank's markings. Like all my builds the markings are painted on via home made stencils.
After the markings were added it I then focused on weathering and remounting the tools.
One surprise that I ran into was the jack block, the other guy mounted the jack block too high, because of that the turret strikes the block and rips the mount from the hull. To fix this I will lower the mount so it clears the turret smoothly.
A video update was added to youtube
And more images were added to the facebook page.

I'm now working on finishing off the cables, spare tracks, and last of the fittings. Once these details are added the tank will be complete ... More to come!

John,
Fantastic job on the Panther, really looks first class now. Forgive me tho, I cannot tell the difference between the two paint schemes? The last images show the colors toned down with weathering, which looks perfect! Your client must be happy with it.
Fantastic work all around.
Best regards,
Bob

Re: 2006 Panther build completion
Thanks Bob, the first pattern was comprised of large blotches but was repainted to thin stripes...as per the customer's request.
the tank is now complete with all the tools and small finishing details added. I'm currently waiting on acquiring aftermarket spare track links for the track racks. Once added the tank will be delivered to it's owner. More to come.
