Reading Amateur Radio Club Rally

Post by Armortek »

The Reading Amateur Radio Club are having a rally on 14th July. It is the largest club rally in the Thames valley and they have asked if there are any Armortek customers who would be interested in bringing their Tanks to the show. They also hope to have model helicopters flying. If you are interested please contact

A very enjoyable day at the rally today.

In at 08:30 and packed up by 14:00, so not too long a day.

Thanks to Brian for the gazebo - definitely needed in the sunshine, and to Steve for the bacon butty, for which I forgot to thank you at the time  .

The tanks seemed to be very popular with the organisers and visitor, and we've been invited back next year, so this may become a regular attendance.

We had the whole of the rugby pitch as a running area, which is fenced off from the public, so massed Kursk style battles are a possibility, though no digging up the pitch for tank traps

Adrian's BARV now is not available for any shows the rest of the summer as it is flying out as a new signing for the British Lions, providing some extra beef for the scrum....
The bacon butty at the Rugby Club was one of the best I have had at such an event for a long time! Plus it was the very least I could provide for someone who went home for a spare part that saved my day :D Thanks!
I attempted a conversion with my Tiger and hit the post, so my drive sprocket was turned into an interesting pen holder.

Otherwise a good day in the sunshine!
