It take a while to get round so give yourself plenty of time. I was not aware that there are many tanks under restoration to view outside. I missed these. You have to pay about €6 extra if you want to take photos. If you go back a second day, keep the camera sticker and you do not need to pay second time. Or at least I did'nt. There is a well stocked model and book shop. Their own books are worth a look.

Have a nice holiday.

Paid a visit to museum in Saumur yesterday, unfortunately missed a good weekend there last weekend when according to posters it seemed an event like our version of Tankfest at Bovvy took place. Took about 250 photos, certainly plenty to see and more of a variation of vehicles than at Bovington, also quite a selection of more modern tanks. The graveyard out the back was quite interesting as well. Well worth the trip. The beast below capable of chucking a Nuclear warheaded missile, it did have the word INERTE stencilled on the side. Only managed about 4 hours in there due to pressure from other half, although I mustn't complain she was very patient and pointed out quite a few things that I had missed on the descriptions.
