Hi Larry.
My 222 is not yet finished, but I found if you place the steel strip that the gun cradle is fixed to, and in turn should be fixed to the underside of the turret ring, on the top side of the turret floor, then the guns sit at about the correct height. You'll have to put some kind of spacer on top of the pedestal to fix the raised mechanism and allow for a smooth rotation, but I think it should be quite an easy mod when all is said and done. When I can I'll post a picture that will be better than a description. I'd like to do some more mods to the guns and gun mount, but at the moment I'm snowed under with moving and work. I hope that helps to explain things?
