I have a couple of questions:
I was wondering what you do if you get caught out with dead batteries while out and about? Should you carry spares in the car and is it possible to push the tank along (obviously not up slopes ) with no power - do you have to disengage the motors?
I don't know about the Centurion but most Armortek models are almost impossible to move with the motors attached, and most need to have the sprockets removed to unbolt the motors.
Far easier (apart from spare batteries) is to break the two tracks, and then push the tank along on the road wheels. Then your problem becomes stopping the worlds heaviest skateboard once it gets up a bit of speed
Adrian is correct that it is almost impossible to push any of the Armortek range. The gear ratio in the drive effectively prevents it. It certainly is easiest to remove one track pin and roll the tank off the tracks. They push along very easily on the road wheels.
Just one note. It has not been necessary to remove the sprocket, in order to remove the motors, since we changed from the Parvalux gearbox and that was in 2007. For all installations since then, including the new high efficiency gearbox, the motors can be removed by simply removing the three flange mount bolts from inside the tank.
