link a reciever to Futaba 7c - how

hi all

just had an accident and lost my 7C on the floot, breaking the knob to the sound selector of

Wanting to test that everyting else was still in ok mode, i now have a red light on my reciever indicating that it is not linked to my 7C radio transmistter.

Have looked through the manual and cannot see how to relink the reciever and the transmitter.

Any help is appreciated

forgot to write that I tried the push the buttom on the reciever - it flashes but goes into red again.

What am i missing?

A steady red light means that the receiver thinks it's linked to a transmitter but doesn't think the transmitter is switched on.

When you press the link switch on the receiver, it should flash red, then go to a steady green when it finds the transmitter.

From what you are saying, it sounds to me that your transmitter is no longer sending out a signal

It may be worth taking the back off the transmitter to see if something has come undone.

I did that and it does not look like anything is disconnected or broken.

However , the green and red diode on the back does not light up when switching on the transmitter.

have not noticed earlier if they should be with light when power is on.

on the front of the transmitter the red light is on

According to the manual, on switch on, both leds should light. The red one should go out leaving the green one for normal operation. Have a look at page 13 of the instruction manual.

no lights on the backside where the green/red diode are. so I guess the transmitter must have taken some damage when I dropped it.

I found a Graupner transmitter from my 1:16 tanks and put in a compatible reciever to the Graupner radio.

when switching on, everything starts up fine. Sound is on one swich and works

however, when driving I now only need to use the right stick and its like its been twisted 90 degree so that I have to move my right hand stick into app 45 degree to move forward and 225 degree to move backwards.

any thoughts here

Hi Steen

The problem you are having with your Graupner transmitter is due to no mixing. If your transmitter has the ability to mix 2 channels, sometimes called elevon mixing, you can use that. If you haven't got that facility on your transmitter, then it depends on which motion pack you have fitted. If you have the 4QD motion pack, you will have a small unit called a DMR-203 Digital Interface Unit. Remove the cover and move the link for mixing. See picture below.

This will give you preset mixing on you 2 drive channels.
