Bodo,
Your T-34 details are masterpieces. Fabulous work on the cupola. The driver hatch is absolutely stunning. Incredible the amount of work and detail you can put into one hatch! You have set the standard high and continue to impress us. Best regards,
Bob

Re: T34/85 DRIVERS HATCH HINGES
Hi Bodo,
I was going back over Armortek T34 POSTS section (Re: T34 Idlers. Thur Jan 03,2013.) recently and noticed your very own workmanship on making your own excellent detailed parts on your T34/85 driver's hatch, which I have followed from your pics, using them as reference to create my own drivers hatch for my T34/85 kit.
So far I have finished making the top hinge and ready to have a go at making the rest of the hatch with workable prisms etc.
From your own attached images I can see most of the hatch, but not clear how you made the other hinge parts which houses the periscope prisms covers area.
I have attached a few pics to show you how I made my first hinge and some drawings of the whole hatch.
I have circled the areas in red that I am not sure about and ask you if you be so kind as to show me how you made your own hinges in that area!
As you know it takes a lot of time to recreate, upgrade parts etc to one's tank, but I just want to get it right, and try not to make any mistakes, and seeing you had made your own, I would be very grateful if you could tell me how you did yours?
Or if you have any good references or technical drawings on the driver's hatch and it's hinges that would be good too!
Needless to say your workmanship is excellent and look forward to other upgrade parts you are making for your T34/85.
You can contact me at (artmaniastudio3@googlemail.com)

Re: T34 Idlers
Hi all,
after a longer break from the T34 I restarted this project. Now I am nearly finished. I have added a lot of details and replaced a few components, you can see on the pictures.

Hi Bodo,
Good to see your work again and wow that is one good looking T34.
Nice to see how you got the correct height of her and the so characteristic T34 track link hang on to the wheels.
Well done!
Is that the brass track links from Geisswerk?
Kind regards
Kent

Re: T34 Idlers
Hi again,
thank you all for the nice comments about average skill!! Especially to Ian, who sent me some significant drawings concerning the vision blocks, I have to rework them again.
The paintjob isn`t finished now, I have to add mor weathering, when the tank is complete finished.
