Painting Masterclass
Simon mentioned some of the quality 1//35th models at this autumn's Yeovilton model show. I thought I'd post a few choice examples of the best ones as inspiration. The number of layers of paint and weathering these guys apply to get the overall effect is quite extraordinary.
Some familiar beasts:
Colour modulation style, with layers of filters, pin washes, pigments, chipping, fading, rust, water marks etc etch. And this is also today's test question. It's a ............ ?
Regards
Stephen

Re: Painting Masterclass
Hi Stephen.
Jagdpanzer 4/ panzer 4 laing I think.
Your right about the painting skills of the 1/35 builders its truly amazing what can be done as you have shown in your photo's and they are to be much congratulated and appreciated but they are also like fine china ornaments built to sit on a display shelf and be looked at, not driven around and possibly man handled from time to time like our models are?
Just my thoughts.
Very nice though cheers Paul

Re: Painting Masterclass
thanks for posting the photo's stephen, there'e always a compromise with our sized models between detail and usage, the obvious answer is, have two, one for display and one for driving, many thanks simon manning,

Re: Painting Masterclass
Certainly looks like a Frankenpanzer
Ostketten tracks, KT wheels, JP IV gun and upper hull fittings.
Something from the Wehrmacht spares box.
I take it my suggestion was too oblique ...
