New Products - Now Live

Post by Armortek »

The wait is over! and our 2013 releases are now live. You may need to refresh your browser to view,

It is hard to believe that when the King Tiger kits start despatching next year, that five years will have passed since its first release! However this seriously imposing model continues to be in great demand.

The StuG III offers a 'lighter' alternative with fantastic overall detail and performance.

Reserve both kits this month and save £500!

Hi Gill,

Will the Porsche Turret be available as an option? I too would like to know how this kit has been improved upon from the 2008 version.

Best regards
Phil

Hi Gill,

"Rubber Tyres" was among the KT's features. Wondering where will it sit in?

Hi Lerh Chang

Rubber Tyres is an error in the list, as I guess most people will realise, I have asked this to be removed.

Hi Gill and Mark,

I noticed on the Stug advert that it stated it has fully adjustable suspension. Would it be possible to have more details of this as I am interested in this for my Panzer III.

Many thanks,

Sarah

I like the idea of the stug III G . Great choice Mark and Gill , I've been waiting a long time for this one. like Sarah mentioned above I too hope
Mark can add more detail on the running gear , eg idlers , drop arms etc also it would be nice to see an alloy roof ,rear deck , and fenders instead of steel . this would make a much nicer option . Dale

Hi Sarah,

If it's going to be the same system as the latest Tiger, which is excellent by the way, you would have to remove the suspension bars and either replace them or drill out the holes that secure the fixed end of the torsion bars to fit a new adjustable fixed end also the hull sides would have to be removed to be drilled out unless Mark knows differently of course.

Dennis.

Hi all

The new model will incorporate the adjustable torsion bar suspension system first introduced on this years late Tiger. (as will the new King Tiger). An upgrade pack for existing Panzer 111 models could be produced if there is enough interest. This would consist of:

Suspension bars and bushes
Fixed ends
Floor
Torsion bars and fixed ends
Suspension shafts.

It would not be necessary to replace the hull sides.

The new Stug also features improvements in detail to the suspension arms, idlers and positioning of the rollers. Deck plates will all be ally but the mudguards will have to remain in steel. Ally would would not strong enough to withstand handling and knocks.

We have gone through all the various postings on the forum and tried to incorporate as many corrections and improvements as we can. But, we have tried to keep the cost of the kit under control, so not everything is economically possible.

I Mark and Gill, love the Stug. Any chance of the protective (schurzen) side skirts being included?

Hi Robin

Here is the answer I gave to Ian a few days ago on the Panzer 111 forum:

Hello Ian

We are not including the side skirts with the kit. The skirts are easy to do, but the mounting rails and brackets are complex. They could not be done realistically at a reasonable cost. I believe that Dave Dibb at Armorpax has these items (and a vast selection of other super detail parts for the Stug).

I must admit that my own experience of running any of these models, is that these side plates soon come off for cleaning, or because of damage etc. They rarely get put back on, and do cover up a lot of detail.
