small tank but hugh detail, a lot on these panzer 111s is visible, suspension, hull sides etc, never ending, but it looks stunning when complete, cracking build david. regards simon.

Re: David grays Panzer 111 build
made a bit more progress , made the cover plates for the front space armour and riveted
them the to the brackets with 3/64 rivets , then fitted the tread plates to the cat walks
with the same rivets , a big job , but worth it, made the the anglr brackets at the front of the fenders and riveted on , also put saw cuts in the catwalks to allow
them to curve when bolted to the mounting brackets.
next job is the hinges on the mud gaurds front and rear , also the cat walk support
brackets

Re: David grays Panzer 111 build
Really nice work David, although the small photos kinda limit the detail one can see. Hopefully that gets resolved so bigger pix can be loaded. Really great stuff, keep it going!
Best regards,

Re: more progress
Hi Tim Thanks , finaly got some colour on the tank , the scheme i have chosen is taken from the book , Panzer colours, Camouflage of the German Panzer forces 1939-1945
the scheme has a dark grey base panted over with dark green squiggles then large dark yellow patches, thought this would be a bit different from the standard single colours
of grey ,yellow or africa cor yellow,
I have started with the wheels first , the whole of the tank will be painted this way.
Made some more progress with the fenders fitted the front mud gaurds with some replacement hinge , this was very fiddly useing 14Ba nuts and bolts , also made the
support brackets under the mudgaurds , the holding clamp on the top and small brackets.
remade the spare track holder and fitted a bar betwween the brake vents for more links
also fitted Steve Winstones exellent headlights
