Hello Phil, hello Adrian, nope, a dash of 'Cif' and a soft cloth......you would never know I had been there. Her ladyship has only just noticed that I have moved the Jagd'.

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
There is a 'pause' in the building programme. I have decided to continue the Jagdpanther build over the Autumn/Winter period, the long dark nights and wet days are fast approaching. I need to spread the project build over the next six months or so.
Following my near disaster, when the hull slipped off the table lift, I recalled the advice I was given, to place a board under the hull. The following photographs show the process I adopted.....

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Board from 3/4 ply, with timber battens screwed to the underside, to prevent slippage......

Hello Nick, thanks for your post. I must say I am really enjoying this build, I have much more time with the Jagd'. The Comet build was somewhat rushed....so I am taking my time with tank......regards Mick.

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hi Mick,
If you use a small scissor jack also to raise the hull off the boards and cannot get the jack under the hull just fit track width boards along the sides under the tracks to give clearance under the hull. Looks much more secure.

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello John, thanks for your post. The Jagd' already looks more secure on the wider board, no more heart attacks. My motorcycle jack does fit under the tank, so all is well.
I am working outside on my 16mm garden railway at the moment, while the good weather lasts. Itching to get back to the tank though....

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Ok, can't wait for the Autumn......I have started to arrange the parts needed for the upper hull. I expect to start assembling after the weekend. The weather here is awful.....thunder and lightening.....followed by heavy rain.

The only problem with 'bedroom' builds......is the lack of space.
