turret turn

Post by Jeffrey Goff »

I have just been reading about the Panzer III, and my understaning is that the turret was turned manually by the crew; the Armortek motion pack is for one motor for gun elevation, so will the turret be fixed or just hand turned. I know I should wait for the model, but I would like to know.

Many thanks Colin, I missed that bit, it would have been a whole new ballgame adapting an action figure to work the turret gear

Gentlemen

Yes the Panzer III does include turret turn operation by motor in the option pack. Generally the performance of this vehicle is going to be relatively lively and agile. It will be easy to handle for transporting and working on. Both advantages of being that bit smaller and lighter.

thanks mark

a very nice choice. :D

could you answere this for me i'm sure others are wondering also as this kit is a very visual kit like the panther with a lot of deck and side items on show will there be photoetch parts ie, clamps/tred plate on top of the mudguards (a big item with this one) it would be great to see you joining up with sixthscale, armourpax and others in the future for these parts to be included in all the kits.

still itching

Mark will the panzer III have the same about of alloy to steel as the other models Eg. Hull plates alloy . Turret sides rear and mantel in alloy , with just the hull floor and deck and turret roof in steel . There will be no pannier floors on the panzer III . The hull will look funny for a while when under construction . As this tank has a shoe box shape hull with side mud guards . Dale

Gentlemen.

We have included parts from Armorpax for both the M2 half track and the new Jagdpanther. We will continue with this policy as long as customers are happy with it, and the rate of supply can be met. The Panzer III will include Armorpax items and photo-etched sheets. Other wise construction of the PIII is very similar to other Armortek kits, except that the the hull is in three sub assemblies, like the original, and can be disassembled. This makes conversion to other variants very simple. The mix of alloy and steel remains the same.
