Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello Phil, thank you for your comments......The drive sprocket/taper lock installation went without a hitch. Once I realised that I had fitted the roller back to front, it was a doddle. I really am enjoying this build, so much better when there is no pressure to complete it. I cannot speak to highly about the quality of these kits.....Mick

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Glad to see you getting so much pleasure from building the kit. It's going together fast. You will need a nice display area. I like to just sit back and look at the models somtimes. Love the scale. I agree, great work from armortek on these kits.

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Thank you for all your replies lads, I can see my bank account dwindling with those two twins. My eldest granddaughter married last month.....Kerr ching £££££.
I am pleased with the sprocket fitting, it all assembled very well. I have been giving the rear deck and back plate some thought. I think it is time I ventured into some upgrades. I have already received some Steve Winstone parts, mudguards, working M/G, rear light and reflector etc,. I was thinking of moving the 'tools' to the rear, for a cleaner line, and probably, easier camouflage painting. Anyway, all this keeps the grey cells moving.....Mick.

I'm guessing tracks. If so pot the rubber gloves on. They wreck your hands. I give them a good vlean and then a paint job.

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello Phil,Hello John, rubber glove time again....I quite like assembling the tracks, try it late in the evening.....zzzzzz.
My other half persuaded me that an 'awayday' was needed, so, as the sun shone, we spent the day at...... Barmouth......![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Suddenly realized.....the hull was still up on 'blocks'. What a weight...at long last managed to remove said 'blocks' and install the motorcycle jack...phew!

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello Phil, no blood yet...it's a good job I wear rubber gloves.....very mucky, these tracks. I had forgotten just how long it takes to assemble them.
The guy in the 'Pound Shop' gives me a strange look when I ask......yet again, for a packet of rubber gloves, can't imagine why
.....regards Mick

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hi Mick
The T34 were lovely, only needed a light wash
The Panzer 111 track links were really dirty so I washed them in the sink with a washing
up water made up with some bleach and fairy liquid and used a little scrubbing brush.
I let them drain and then gave them a quick dry in the oven for ten minutes Gas Mark 3
(The Wife will know)
My navy blue T shirt had pink spots on after that,I think I might have caught something.
Keep grafting Mick
Regards
Phil

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello Phil, I had thought about cleaning the tracks.....however I really like the natural colour they are cast in....so I will leave well alone. I have decided to assemble thirty track links, at a time.....it's about all I can manage, before nodding off. Still no blood yet, I must be getting the hang off it. I am taking extra care....I am on 'Warfarin'
Watching your build with great interest Phil....the T34 looks great, Regards.....Mick.
