Hello Mark, here is the photograph....I have tried all six Hex heads, the 'hex head' binds on the raised dome of the idler cap

Hi Mick
The idler hub cap in your picture is on back to front (or inside out if you prefer). Just turn it round and everything should fit ok.
Regards
Mark

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello John, yes I agree....why is it that the simple answers are the most difficult to fathom out. Anyway, I guess with the arrival of all those Late Tiger kits, the Forum should be creaking at the seams......lovely.

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Fitted the road wheels....my little 'key' proved most useful. It's so much easier to move around, when the tank is on a table lift.
I recessed/chamfered the gear case,so the roller is a close fit to the hull side.
I turned the idler cap around....it fits a treat, now why didn't I think of that

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello Phil, it's surprising where the dust comes from....so I do try to keep the tank as clean as possible....hence the blanket, could have said it belongs to the cat......only we do not have a cat.
My 'move around' was spotted by.....guess who?
We are soon to be 'swamped' by Tigers.....can your T34 cope?
Best wishes and keep well....Mick

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Hello John....absolutely. My grandson and his partner have just presented me with twin boys.....I always wanted to be a great grandad.
Now, Forum members with your vast amount of knowledge....a question. I am fitting the drive sprockets. The sprocket is located firmly on the gear shaft, and is set at 62mm from the hull to the centre line. I have followed the instructions to the letter.
I will attach two photographs...as you may be able to see, the 'roller' is against the sprocket and binds when the sprocket is rotated. So, I need a solution, the roller is firm against the hull.I have questioned whether the roller is on the 'right way round'

Re: Ultimate Panther/Jagdpanther Build
Scrub that last question....I have installed the roller, 'the wrong way round'. I seem to make a habit of this.....I'm a wrong way round person.....
