i have the very same box of springs never thought of using them like that so ive learnt something again, i like this type of building it is more saticefying to make it yourself than just buying parts and sticking them on especialy when they look as good as your spring hatches well done .

Thanks Nick.
After looking at my photo of the Cupola Spring Stay I went back and trimmed the
Leg of the spring and the edges of the plate a bit,just to make it look better.

his bum to stop him falling off his seat over rough ground

A velcro strap round the waist sould hold him in.
