Re: Sherman test run
That's a superb sounding Sherman Doug
Are those the stock SFX16 Sherman sounds or have you customized them ?
Really sounds like the throb of a GAA V8.
Adrian.

Re: Sherman test run
Thanks, the sounds are a customized set taken from a short YouTube video. That's the great thing about the SFX6 modules in that you can create sounds of whatever you like.
Hardest part is actually finding a good set of sounds especially ones including start up and shutdown sounds. I have done away with having proportional engine sounds as in reality its not really what you hear it in real life (i.e. engine revs increase the faster you go)
Instead typically the engine stays fairly constant and the gearbox does all the work in propelling the tank forward at speed so based on this I only have programmed 4 engine sounds which comprise of a start up and idle sound, a slow and a full speed sound (incorporating a gear change) with the full speed sound engaging at 60% throttle.
This was the vid I used to create what you hear.
I have also programmed in a 75mm, 30cal & 50cal gun sounds as well as a nice snippet from Kelley's Heroes
