Hi Graham,
I've seen you posted some pictures of your last work : the jack. Does it work?

It does work, allthough the gearing is a bit high as compared to the real thing. The handle can be folded back,the whole handle assembly can be changed via a ratchet from raise to lower or repositioned on the turning arc. The safety pawel clicks in and out as you raise the jack and can be held open to lower the jack. If I was a good photographer I would post better pictures in detail. I will post some more when it is completed. I got the details of the ratchet and pawel from this website

I have seen the drawings in the link you sent. Because I am not a clever modeller I think I'll never succeed in making the jack.
So another question: have you planned to make more than one jack? If you have would you mind selling me one?

Sorry I have only made one. In my garage end workshop with a lathe, small drill, and bench vice it took a considerable amount of time to cut, form and design the jack.
