WIP Tiger Bin Panther Sets and Grills Panther Tiger Cupolas

Post by Mike Stannard (toyrific) »

Hi Guys

With many requests by phone and e-mail about status of orders and progress of products I thought it wise to give you all a general update.

I have four major projects going at the moment, completion of the long awaited Tiger 1 Stowage Bin, Panther tools sets and grills and cupolas for the Panther and Late Tiger 1. These projects are taking up a lot of my time and I have to fit in work on them while still maintaining filling and shipping of orders that do not contain any of the above. My average time for filling orders at the moment is about three weeks, less if the items are in stock and ready to ship.

Tiger 1 Stowage Bin
Stowage bin kits order at the beginning have been shipped, however the assembly instructions are not completed yet as I am still figuring out the best way to assemble them. Instructions should be completed in about two weeks.

The first batch of six assembled bins are under construction as you can see in the pictures below. Basically the top section of these bins is complete less lids which are fitted last. Each top section has over 100 rivets which are either riveted or soldered in place, this is what is taking time to do, there are over another 100 rivets to complete the assembly.
In the picture there are 28 bins, all bin lids have been shaped, rivets have been fitted to the side panels and turret lifting recess box. I expect the first six bins to be completed this coming week. Thereafter six bins every two weeks will be completed.

Panther Tools Sets
I am currently assembling 16 sets of Pan01-10, 13 sets are sold and have 3 sets available for order. These will not be produced again for around 6 months as I have to many new projects to work on. Many of the basic tools and tow ropes are made for the sets. Estimated completetion of sets about 4 weeks.

Panther Grills
Parts are in stock, but no work on these at the moment as I ran out of some brass bar I need to make them. This is on order and should be delivered next week. At that time I will ship to those that have ordered kits and should be able to ship assembled sets in 2 to 3 weeks. I have several sets of these available for order.

Late Tiger 1 and Panther Cupolas
The masters are under construction and should be completed in about 6 weeks. I hope to have molds made and have them available for purchase in 2 to 3 months, sooner I hope.

Panther, Tiger 1 and SdKfz 250 Sternantenna D's
As of now and until further notice I am not accepting any more orders for these as kits. I just do not have the time to write the instructions which are very complicated and detailed. Only the following can be ordered.
TT18a Tiger 1. Sternantenne D Basic Set 105.00
TT18b Tiger 1. Sternantenne D Deluxe Set 200.00
Pan12a Panther Sternantenna D Early Set (Used until June 1944) $190.00
Pan12b  Panther Sternantenna D Late Set (Used from June 1944) $200.00
Pan12c  Panther Sternantenna D Basic Set $105.00
SD250-20 Sternantenna D and Mounting Box 150.00

If you have any concern about a outstanding order that is not explained above please contact me by e-mail.

Jim

Cupolas are still at the same stage as shown in pictures above. I hope to have time to work on them soon.
