g'day. i attached the access hatches on the glacia plate as per instructions but found that as i knocked the pin through it caused a distortion and misalignment. i did some swapping around and was able to lessen it to what you see. did you encounter ths problem nick? maybe a little filing is needed.

Hi ray,

Great progress there. I found on the tiger that some hinges needed some work. Also some re profiling to loose the very square shape.

Do'nt worry about repeating what Nick has already done. Great to see the different photos. Are the holes for the dummy bolts in the boggies already or did you drill them. Nick is building a J model. What are you building?

thanks for the confirmation on filing & drilling. unlike nick i havent placed fake bolts on it (yet) maybe later. the holes were already there. my intention is to build the kit version first in a winter cam scheme with schurzens. once completed and running with the options kits i then intend to detail it via parts from steve winstone & armorpax and any forum members who build and sell the detailed aspects such as loaders hatches and vision ports that open and close.

i have been thinking of doing a flakpanzer version as the panzer 4 hull was modified & used in a number of roles.

i suppose diffrent colouings and picture angles do give a different perspective of the same tank.

cheers

Hi Ray,
I had a similar fit problem with my Panther hatches. It took a little tweaking to get them to fit right.

Your P4 s progressing nicely. Thanks for the photos.
Bob

g'day guys. time for updated pictures. i wont repeat the problems encountered because of nick's wonderful postings for warned is for prepared. thanks nick for making this build easier. notice i didnbt say easy....hahaha.

anyway, i post the pictures without comment except where needed. there was a little hiuccup i'm glad i saw before loctiting. it was the final drive mounted to hull & front glacis plate. look for comment.

i've been spraying the p4 matt white for snow cam and found that man handling the vehicle and parts seems to vweeather them. i got a feeling though that a varnish should be applied to water proof it. am i correct?

cheers & thanks for the support & kind words
