6th Scale Icons Inc. Business update and orders

Hi Guys

6th Scale Icons is now solvent, with most debts paid to date. Since Nov 12, 2010 I have received 52 orders which will keep me very busy for the next 2 months or so. I also have around 20 orders prior to Nov 12 that also have to be completed. Very little has been done this past week as I have a severe cold/flu which has had me house bound since Monday, however I have been able to do a lot of admin work at home and my catalog and quick guides are now up to date and posted.

I currently have on order all photo-etched parts and bronze cast part to complete all orders. I still have around three days of casting white metal and resin to fill orders, I have materials in stock to complete this.

As many orders contain the same items I have to schedule making several of these at the same time.
For example I have orders for 32 of the TT28 Periscopes and 10 of the TT18 Sternantenna D's, there is a weeks work here, just on these two parts.

I have 4 Tiger 1 stowage bins and 12 sets (mixed) of Tiger 1 mudguards to make, here again another week or more to complete. Plus 9 sets of Tiger 2 engine grill covers (mixed), all hand assembled and require soldering, at least another week.

Just the above parts will take around a month to make, add to this 200 or more other parts, you can see it is going to take me to the end of the year to complete.

My plan to achieve this is to fill small orders which have very little time to complete as they come in. Large order, which most customers have agreed for me shipping parts as they are completed in several parcels, will be shipped as they are ready. I hope to have all current orders delivered by the end of the year.

Please bear with me over the next two months and allow me time to do this. If you have a urgency for any parts in your orders, let me know and I will see if I can expedite the parts or order.

I am going to play it safe from now on and up my time frame for delivery to 8 weeks or more for all new orders. Please plan ahead and order parts as soon as you can so I can order the necessary parts and materials to fill your requests. If you need your order in a set time please let me know, if I cannot make your deadline I will not take the order at this time.

Thanks to all those that came to my aid last month and those that sent their good wishes, you have enabled me to say in business, my next hurdle will be in April 2012, when I have to decide if I can risk committing to another year of lease on my workshops.
