T34 Fastener Issues

Post by Armortek »

Builders have reported a number of errors in the fasteners provided for the T34. This only occurred in the initial kits packed and despatched. A replacement screw pack is available on request. Just call Gill.
The following issues have been raised.

The hull sides are countersunk for fixing the suspension parts. Cap heads were originally supplied. Replacement screws are available in the replacement pack.

Insufficient fasteners were supplied for the wheels. Extras are avaialable in the pack.

A number of minor issues such as M3X8 caps are for fixing the floor to the lower rear, are rectified in the replacement pack.

Elevation pivots are available for the T34/76
Elevation pivots are available for the T34/85 which require modifying as follows. The pivot bolts can be cut down until only 4mm-5mm protrudes. The pivot blocks can then be radiused. Fit the mantlet into the turret front, screw in the pins, and drop the pivot blocks in and slide onto the pins.

The centre bolts provided for the front suspension need to have the head end cut off to leave a single ended stud of about 80mm in length. The front springs are tight , but do fit in the space.

Our apologies to anyone who has been held up or inconvenienced by these issues.
