Only in Libya

Post by Tim Bowman »

Only in Libya do you see T72s with animal carcasses used as camoflage. Must say though, it's quite effective against that back ground.

Superb camo. I bet nobody ever thought of disguising a tank as a sheep before. Hope nobody tries to milk it.

Yep! Arab ingenuity......... Can you imagine the smell in that heat? If you've ever been anywhere in the middle-east, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

 Thanks for the funny comments guys. The guys climbing all over it don't seem to mind any smell. I wonder how much shakes off when the main gun is fired. Also had a funny vision of a non-camoed T72 rolling up to a goat herders flock with the crew eyeballing all the sheep (or whatever unfortunate animals those are).

I doubt any of the "pelt" falls off. The heat from the main gun barrel after firing would just bake the skin on. I'm sure rebels don't mind the smell, most of them smell the same anyway. I need to be careful because I have spent a fair amount of time in and out of the middle east and there is a uniqueness to the aromas that fill the air. That's about as nice as I can put it..............
While there are some goats, sheep are everywhere. That is the main source of meat.

Thermally efficient like Saab Barracuda sets. Cool during the day, but also warm at night.

Keeps the flies off your sandwiches too....

Someone will model this for the IPMS model show, just has to be done.

Thanks for sharing.
Fabrice
