Panzer III Interior

Post by Stephen White »

I was in Bovington for an hour or so yesterday and a Swedish photographer was doing 360 panoramas of the interior, so I was able to snatch a couple of quick photos. The tank was captured intact and the interior is in stunning, complete condition.

Really good photo's Stephen, you inspired me to have a go inside and I've started with the Panzer Fuhrersitz, using your photo's and Panzertracts 3-3 to try and judge the scale.
Ive took some pictures and put them on the forum.
Cheers
Phil

Interesting to see who looks at our forum. I've just seen the post below on Missing Lynx. It is worth a look because it gives some pictures of the interior of the Bovington Pz III in its original colours. When I posted my pictures, I should have been a bit more specific when I said that the tank was captured intact (which it was), and remains in its original condition (which is true of the layout and completeness) but it certainly isn't in its original paint. A rather questionable restoration was done about ten years ago.

Worth a look.

Panzer Interior Pic's

Post by phil fitzpatrick »

Nice photo's and comments on that link Stephen.
I did my commanders seat in white and my gunners seat in black
following the bovington panzer,silly me.
I dont think the cost would be any different for Bovington to supply
the guys with the right colour or closest possible.
Cheers
