Workshop Panther build.
Hi fellas.
Just a few pics of one of the new Panthers.
Straight forward lower hull build as others have posted.
[/img]
New double torsion bar system, it obviously takes longer than the single but really is quite straight forward and looks as though it will give a really smooth travel to the suspension.
Battery tray in and little red steam engine fitted
[img]
Motors in ready for a start on the electrics ... [/img]
[img][/img]
Electrics in but still to tidy up, time to make a start on the top.
More to follow real soon.
Cheers Paul and Vinnie

Hi Steve.
Thanks mate, but listen if they belonged to me I would not be going to work sticking tiles on in the morning , no they are both for customers, I am hoping to get one some time later if there is one left. {hint Gill any dusty old corner will do for storing mine }
This one is going to be a Panther and the other one in the background a J.P. but no paint on that one.
Only bad thing so far is those pesky little wheel studs a bit of a chore as you know on one kit...still think Gill could pop those in place in between cups of coffee
I'll just go and unplug the phone now.
Cheers Paul.

Hi Fellas.
Just a couple of shots of the working upgraded smoke unit fitted into the new Panther hull.
[img][/img]
Anyone wanting a good belch of smoke on start up look no further
[img][/img]
This was just a test to make sure everything was working O.K. and it was, ran for a good few mins with no trouble at all,so now back to the build itself.
Cheers Paul

Hi Marcel.
Ha ha not really "mass production" I have a very able and helpfull assistant in Vinnie, "many hands make light work"
Yes the smoker upgrade is a real boost and I don't think you will have any trouble with it, and it really is a very welcome upgrade to the Armortek range, and is like everything else very robust.
Just another great item all round and from what I have seen here would recomend the upgrade to everyone.
Cheers Paul and Vinnie

Hi fellas.
Well its been a while and the Panther is now finished, to be honest there are so many great models being produced on this forum now that its more fun watching the other builds than posting updates on what I have done, well done to everyone ...here are some pics of my efforts.
Bog standard shot of the wheels with primer ... a few more hours in the shed starting the welds etc
Bit of texture going on and I ran a cutting disc in the dremmel to produce the torch marks on the interlocking sections.
As I think I said before no after market parts on this model so....onto the best bit the painting hope you like her.
Cheers Paul

Hi fellas.
Thanks for the comments most appreciated. John the battery tray is the standard kit part supplied with the motion pack, not too sure about your new Tiger kit but I think the full length tray is pretty standardised now same in the Panzer 111 and the King Tigers.
Cheers Paul

Nice looking Panther, and she's a good runner as well - I was lucy enough to have the chance to run her around quite a bit whilst miding the stand for Gill and Mark on Sunday.
