The Next Model ... ?

Post by Adrian Harris »

Gill put this out on Facebook on 26th January:

"Starting to think about what the next model release will be, never an easy decision!"

There have been thirteen comments as of this message - an interesting comparison to the 73 in the Famo thread alone

Anyhow, my suggestions are:

The Ultimate T34 chassis - with options for the tank in either /76 or /85 configuration, the SU85/100/122 series, even the recovery option ?

M3 Medium Tank, with choices for the Lee or Grant. There's also the recovery option. You've already rediscovered the dies for the tracks - just need to get the turrets cast. It could even be riveted construction

Wierdos like me could also take the M3 bogies and add them to a Sherman hull, to make an Alamein version

My vote would be for the FAMO or the M3 Grant/Lee (as in the Humphrey Bogart Sahara movie).

Nice to see someone else wants a Lee/Grant :D :D

Famo Famo Famo  I know I am obsessed I also think that a re run of the Sherman would be a winner or what about a re run of the panzer 4 with a universal hull so we can have the main battle tank and a stug option and maybe a brumbar?
Cheers Paul

Hi Guys:

I don't participate much in the Forum, but as for the Famo thing, I have absolutely no interest.

However, the Sherman redo would be great - I missed the first run and would love to have one, more importantly I'd pay for one.

My first choice though I would be a Mark IV/V great war tank

I vote for the T-34 series, the natural enemies of the german Tigers and Panthers.

Otherwise would propose the Stugs III and IV (Armortek already got the basis chassis), they were the actual workhorses of the german army.

Panzer iv / stug would be nice especially after seeing the results achieved by others with the previous release. I want a king tiger but later on please as I want to get my tiger finished first.

I know that many pooh-pooh post WWII stuff, or even only want German, but for me it's a Brit, how about Centurian, Chieftan or even a Chieftan Bridgelayer - now that WOULD be something!!!
