Hi Guys,
I need information on books, dvd's links etc on the Panther. Shortly I will start refurbishing my Panther. It will be an early, SS and will be Normandy or Battle of the Bulge. It will have Zimmerit and I prefer the spare track links on the turret. (So any info on 1st, 2nd, 9th or 10th SS Panzer Div. will be appreciated). I remember about a year or longer ago there was the ultimate Panther DVD, I believe it could also be obtained through Armortek. Any info on this DVD will be appreciated too.
Panther Books, links, etc.

Hi Marcel
A nice book on the subject of 1SS panthers is "panthers in the Mist". Covers the first hours of the units advance and has some nice photos. I remember seeing one Panther that did have zimmerit. It's an expensive book though.
Another one for some reference colors that is OK is "Panther in Color" by Waldmer Trojca. In this one, all the Ardennes Panthers are zimmerit free and the color schemes were taken from knocked out vehicles that were photographed.
I do not know about the video.
Best regards
Tim

Hi Marcel,
Here you go: (Copy & paste the WHOLE link below)
http://rapidshare.com/#!download|102l34 ... rar|100431
Choose the slow download option for the free PDF. It states part 1 but this is the book, part 2 is a link to a website only.
Thanks Ant

Re: Panther Books, links, etc.
Tony,
How do you open the file once it is downloaded? From WinRAR I try to extract part 1 but it asks for part 2 (insert disk with volume2) in order to complete extraction? If you don't have part 2 you cannot extract or view the part 1 file, same message "insert disk with volume 2".

Try downloading this : http://www.jzip.com/index.php?bt=c&r=50 ... tAod5CxqeA
This should open the .rar file above once saved and then any PDF reader will do.
Thanks Ant

Re: Panther Books, links, etc.
One trick I've found is to look for a similar version of the tank you are interested in but in 1/35 scale, then look for the reviews of the kit on sites such as Missing Lynx and Armorama, as they tend to have lists of reference material at the end of the article. For example, this is from the PMMS website:
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/r ... er_ref.htm
You can then sometimes find a review of the book itself on the same site.
