Open Day This Year Now Confirmed!

Post by Armortek »

We are now contemplating the next Armortek Open 'Day'.

We would like to know your thoughts on the subject.

We are either going to have an Open Day this year ( 1 Day – September 10th 2011) or miss or year and have a two day event ( 8th/9th September 2012)

Let us know your preference by voting in the poll

thanks
Gill and Mark

Just to clarify, if we go for a day in 2011, do we also get a day in 2012, or are they mutually exclusive :?:

If we have a one day event this year, then we will decide on the next one after this. It may be that factors from this years event (if that is what is chosen) may influence our thinking on a follow up, therefore difficult to say for certain at this stage. Sorry if that is rather a "politician's" answer!

I would love to attend an open day in 2011 but sept is my mountain biking month. Although I may be free now as my partner broke her knee skiing this week and will probably not be fit by September so I will go with one day in 2011. Maybe visit tank museum also. Thinking about dropping into samur in June.
I have put my vote in above.

I know how much work you guys put into the OD but for customer relations it has got to be worth the effort, go for the one day who knows what might happen next year, and when I say that I am refering to us the punters!

I voted one day this year as well.
I'd book a B&B for a couple of nights, and as well as having a day at Amortek headquarters, use it as an excuse to chug around Devon on my Enfield. :D

I know that the poll has not yet finally concluded on the open day but it is perhaps a good time to suggest an option which will both provide Mark and Gill with a well deserved rest on Sunday 11 September yet still provide for those who would like a second day of model tanks.

The South West Tank Club will be putting on a r/c tank demonstration at Bovington Tank Museum on Sunday 11 September. This is intended to provide an opportunity for visitors from afar to meet with fellow enthusiasts on the day following the Armortek open day. All SW Tank Club events at Bovington will normally only be open to club members and UK Tank Club members but, for this event only, other enthusiasts are welcome to attend if they book in advance. Bovington’s insurance will provide public liability cover.

Further details will be posted later. Any questions should be addressed to one of the following:
Barry Dominy 01202 576455
Dennis Jones 01202 280625 djones49@talktalk.net
Allan Webster 01202 602009 allandwebster@yahoo.co.uk

The SW Tank Club will also be arranging other events at Bovington Tank Museum which will be open to club members and to members of the UK Tank Club. Details can be found here:

Saturday September 10th 2011 will be our next Open Day.

Thank you to everyone for your votes. The Poll is now closed.

We will of course further details of the day nearer the time, however in the meantime please add the date to your diaries!

Also remember to contact the members of the South West Tank club, as detailed in Allan's post if you would like to join the event at the Tank Museum the following day.
