Hi Colin, I was sorry to have missed you on Sunday, have you started to build an 88? there are some good reference pictures in the old forum under 88, by John Saunders, I also bought the Dragon 1/35 model, this gives an idea where all the bits go, but when you get to my age you need a microscope to see them,

regards
Jeff

Hi Jeff and Yves

Jeff, I bought an 88 at the show and Gill is despatching it to arrive tomorrow, so I'll have a good look at the kit when it arrives. From the models I've seen built so far I'm looking forward to getting started on it. I've still got some work to do on the halftrack so hopefully will start the build in about a months time.

Yves, many thanks for the photos. I've just got in from a model engineering meeting so haven't had chance to look at them all yet. If I come across any myself I'll forward them on to you.

Hi all,
during the construction of my 88, I found a crucial help from photos by Vincent Abbott that you can find at
http://vincesgallery.smugmug.com/History
There are a lot of very detailed pictures taken at Saumur, Le Grand Bunker, Duxford and Omaha Beach of 4 different guns.
Another help come from the book “8,8 cm.. FLAK 18-36-37â€
