Tiger 1 reticle aimed at a T34
Here's a bit of fun you can do with FireWorks. I can't take credit for the original animation, but it's all my fault it's aiming at Clive's T34 Thanks for advising me on this Fabrice
Hope it works!!!

Hi Richie.
Thanks for your kind offer...but I must say no, I think I have enough for the moment and I have built all of them myself.
Cheers Paul

A long long time ago it was suggested that models could be fitted with bore-sight cameras and cross hairs with co-axial lasers as a weapon and laser sensors on the exterior of tanks to allow real time combat via virtual reality type interface helmets - think Red Dwarf meets Laser-Quest.
Did anyone ever try it?
Does anyone think it could be done at a remotely sensible price?
Steve

Hi Steve.
I don't know if anyone did this but it sounds like a really good idea...I am guessing it would work a bit like the Tamiya battle system?
Cheers Paul.

Hi Steve,
I have seen the battle system before and it looks a lot of fun, as seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NSgj1VX ... re=related
You can mount a real time camera at the gunners point of view, and use the FCOIII V-eyes http://www.flycamone.co.uk/ and video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LMNMvhkvcY but you would be looking at £600 for the lot. As usual it al depends on what you want, personally I would say the battle system would do if you can get the range.
Paul.

Oh Yes! That's the kit! I want all of it now. That flycam is spectacular in size and effect. The laser would be especially dramatic in low light and light mist. As costs drop in the years ahead we could have 'crewed' machines - commander, driver, gunner - each with different cams, headsets and intercoms.
Now then, about range...
The 88 was usably accurate up to almost 3,000 metres, depending on what you were shooting at, so at one sixth scale we would need a playground at least half a kilometre across.
Are there now enough Armortek machines available to recreate some of the more manageable scale tank engagements?
Steve

Hi Steve,
Will this do until you can afford all the FCOIII equipment, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTd98OpucWM
