conundrum - fitting the back deck support bracket

Post by Dave Hill »

the title says it all.
i am trying to resolve how bracket CE0131 and back deck cover fit together.

the bracket has 6 holes either side of centre drilled through the
flange yet the deck only has at best 2 holes drilled into it?

does this bracket support BOTH engine deck cover and the front
deck jointly?

looking at the various build histories on the forum i havent so far seen anything to definitively give me any answer

Hi Dave

The bulkhead sits with the flange facing to the rear, and the new lowered rear deck, bolts to it, with the six fasteners each side that you mention. If you fit this into the hull the front edge of the rear deck overhangs the bulkhead and has two holes in it. The front deck sits on top of the rear deck and fixes using these two holes.

Ah i now see the error of my ways.
I thought that the two holes in the edge were the fixing holes
and the bolts that fixed the engine grills were seperate as i have
fixed them and then ground off all excess.
well back to drawing board as thet say.
