Help with wheel sizes

Post by Nick Farrugia »

Hello to all on the 222 forum
Can any body tell me the size of the 222 wheels and tires.
Iam building a 250 half track from scratch and i am having difficulty in finding suittable front wheels for it.Iwould need strong wheels and not the resin type because the model will be quit heavy, it was sugested to me that the 222 wheels might be a good solution. The model will be radio controled.
The sizes im looking for are
Out side diameter of tire 135mm
out side diameter of wheel rim 85mm
thickness of tire 35mm
these sizes can vary slightly if it means i can get a tire and wheel that looks good, i know the wheel rim isdifferent on the 250 half track but i should be able to over come this.
regard to all
nick

Hi Nick

Mike Stannard was selling RC-able wheels and tires for the Sdkfz 250. I'm not sure if he still has them available but maybe worth a try. Wheels were turned aluminum with molded urethane tires.

Kind regards
Tim
