Copper rivets

Post by David Da Costa »

I have got some 3/64 copper rivets for use on the mudguards of my Panzer III.

I have only ever used pop rivets, can someone tell me the best way for installing these copper rivets.

Thanks

David

Hello David

What I have done is make a mandrill. 1/4" bar with a 2mm hole in the end. No a deep hole but one that just starts to bite at full diameter .that is the end that the dome does in.
On the rest of it on the other side cut off to about 2mm sticking through and pein over with your Hammer. Hope this helps.
