WHERES ALL THE PANZER IV'S

Post by Graham Ord »

I have mine,
Theres another scratch built one near Exeter. Chris.
Theres a kit one. Roland?
Theres a scratch built one in progress. Bjorn?

I dont know how many kits were produced and how many drawing sets were sold to build from scratch but where are they all now?

Twenty five kits were produced but I don't know how many sets of plans have been sent out.

I thought there were only 20 kits made.

Here is my kit. Still not finished with the camo.

Yes, where are they? Wow! Only 25 kits? Now I regret missing out on one even more.

Thanks to Graham's project, this Panzer IV section has remained very interesting. I purchased a constructor's manual with the intent of also purchasing a kit. Unfortunately I missed out on the kit. Thought about scratch building one many many times.

Mike, yours looks excellent! nice job on the schuzen.

Panzer IV

Hi Graham,

Yea mine is still here, not too long to go now, got all the electrics table tested (thanks to Mark) just got a couple of bits to be made install the motors and electrics then finish the paint job and its a runner.

The only trouble is I keep making things like smoke candle racks and other bits to add to it. Still got the idea that I am making it to sell on but everyone keeps telling me once it is up and running I wont sell!!!!

Would take a few pics but not too sure how to upload them to here.

Yes I still have mine, it was #20. It runs but is not finished and most likely wont be until after my move back to California.

Hi Graham and everybody, happy new year!

There's one in Paris :D
Don't know which number it is, as It's a second hand purchase.
Hope to have the necessary time, funds & skills to get the build on the move this year.
Btw Graham , what an incredible feat to have built yours from scratch, bravo!

Cheers
Fred

Mine will be on show at the Shepton Mallet show, although still not running, hopefully all but a little bit of paint the building will be finished. It is so frustrating not having the misses away so often so I can finish building it on the kitchen table as that is where most of it has been done.
Just hope she does not read this forum..................

Post by ChrisWilliams »

Well I am pround to announce IT LIVES my PzIV is now up and running. We managed to finish off the electrics on the friday night of the Shepton Mallet show got the smoker running on the saturday and blew the sound amp on the sunday :( oh well teething problems not a problem to be sorted.

I must say a big THANK YOU to Mark & Gill for their help when required and Mark from the SWTC for getting me through the brick wall syndrome.

Still a little more finishing touches to be done as in paint but that should not take too long.

Congratulations on getting your P IV up and running, like you I could not have done it without the help of Gill and Mark.
Look forward to seeing it sometime and actually on the move.

Hi,

still around :D Not much progress for a long time, small kids take up alot of time... Have been bitten by the tank-bug again though so now I'm trying to get things done in the evenings, currently focusing on an enclosure for my mill.

Almost finished one of the drive wheels a few weeks ago, feels nice to get some parts done 8)

I have one of the original Panzer IV`s here in Stavanger Norway. I have had it since before Mark + Gill were really in the picture.
